Northern Ireland Electricity produces an annual Environmental Action Plan (EAP) that is tailored to meet the needs of the business and current legislation.

This EAP forms part of our Environmental Management System (EMS), which is subject to ongoing independent ISO14001 certification. NIE has continually held this certificate since 2001.

Performance against our EAP, along with our response to incidents and our objectives and targets, is continuously evaluated by our Environment Officer and reviewed on a yearly basis by the Managing Director and the Senior Management Team as part of our annual Environmental Management Review.
